About Late Night Food Spots

Late Night Food Spots helps you find food that is still being served late at night, and tells you whether you can get there before the kitchen stops.

Why we built it

Most late night lists stop at a name and a closing time. That isn't enough at 1 AM. A bar that is open until 2 might stop cooking at midnight, a lobby can close while the drive-thru keeps going, and a place 20 minutes away that closes in 15 doesn't help you. We track when the kitchen closes, show how long it has left, and give you a leave-by time.

How listings are checked

  • Hours are checked by hand, and every listing shows the date its hours were last verified.
  • Each listing links to where its hours came from, such as the restaurant's own site or an ordering page.
  • When we couldn't confirm a detail, the listing says "Not confirmed yet". We don't guess.
  • Holiday hours aren't always posted, so on holidays we suggest calling ahead.

How the times work

  • If you share your location, we work out walk and drive times from where you are.
  • The leave-by time includes time to order: 30 minutes before close for sit-down places, 15 for counters and pickup, and 10 for drive-thrus. Delivery shows an order-by time 30 minutes before close.
  • Your location stays private. The privacy policy explains exactly what happens to it.

When we get it wrong

Hours change, and late night hours change the most. If you show up and a place is closed, tap "It was closed" on its listing. When two different people report the same place within a week, it goes back on our list to re-check. You can also email us at hello@latenightfoodspots.com with a correction or a place we're missing.

More cities

We're adding cities one at a time, and only once their listings have been checked. Pick your city on the home page to get an email when it goes live.
